Started with the 600 series. Sure it was silly, but it cleaned well and had no problem other than finding a charging station. I also bought it in a set with Bravo. The site I bought was removed, so my review was destroyed as well. This model has many issues that lower models simply don't suffer from. First, it randomly generates error codes and forces you to factory reset it. This also means that you will have to remap your house. A process that is very tedious and time consuming if you plan to set up the right zones to use the Smart Map. I've had mine for 6 months and have had to do this 3 times. He will do it in the middle of cleaning for no reason. Literally stopped in the middle of an open space (nothing in the way, not that dirty and well lit) and made a mistake. Couldn't get him to react to anything. I had to do a factory reset for support. It happened again after a month and then again after 3 months. If a problem occurs during a cleaning job, all work is lost. This is really annoying because you have to create tasks for each case. Considering he fails in 1 room I can't just tell him to pick up where he left off. no. all is lost. I have to start over So I need to make sure that the new job doesn't contain any rooms that I know are finished. very frustrating and doesn't deserve the title "Smart" at all. Considering that in this case you create a new task for him to skip all the rooms. He even has trouble leaving the base station. I can't count the number of times he just couldn't start a job, skipped a scheduled job because he couldn't leave base station. So now you have to pick it up and put it back on the base and then specify what work you want to start with. I would expect that if it was dirty, but it's still clean and nothing is blocking it. Vacuuming is decent considering what it is. I'd say it's the same as the lower models, definitely not better. As with any vacuum, hair is its worst enemy and I have to constantly clip it off the brushes. Although it has a 'smart card', it doesn't quite clean as advertised. Also note that you cannot share maps and zones with other products. Very annoying. It doesn't tidy up the lines as stated when reading about it. When I make it work in my office (which is where I'm always, not just in this room, it's just the room I see it in every day) it moves everywhere rather than in a straight line. It randomly goes back to where it was already cleared and then when it goes to a section it just goes through it and comes back later. I think the number 8 is more reliable from my experience (although the F, G, H, j and even ak pattern is normal. It's just as random as the 600 series). I have to leave the office pretty quickly as he's just running wild and will spend a good 50 minutes in a small room. (11'x16'). If he followed his pattern as advertised, it would take about 10 minutes. Not that there were many obstacles in this room. If he needs to go back and recharge after starting a room, he will redesign the entire room. Therefore, cleaning my office sometimes takes almost 2 hours without charging. I have hardwood floors throughout. It gets stuck on carpets (all thin carpets are 1/4 inch thick, not thick ones) and when it gets stuck it makes some violent movements. When he was cleaning my bathroom he got stuck on a 1/4 inch mat on the floor. floor and shower door. He kept banging hard on the glass shower door. So much so that I was afraid it would break. Not yet, but there's a very strong movement back and left, then right and forward. To where the 9 foot door shook violently. He did this 6 times before I had to move him. The app is painful and has no way to report a bug outside of iRobot's limited reporting area. Basically you can't say more than 4 options if you don't want to call. Which I recommend not doing. Waiting 2 hours just to get a factory reset. You could send an email but it's been another 5 months since my first email and still no response. Another area they missed, the base station doesn't have a full bag notification. Be sure to follow him. There are many problems with this model. Do an internet search to learn more. Not just these reviews carefully filtered for conflicting interests. Expect to help him 30% of his working hours. He often skips areas, make sure you have another vacuum (or broom) to clean up the areas he missed. there will be a lot.
