It was very easy to put together. It lasted 10 minutes and everyone could pack. Supplied in three pre-assembled pieces that only need to be fixed with 8 screws and washers using the supplied hex wrench. The wood is solid, without chipboard. All wooden parts are very firmly glued and screwed, no cheap brackets. The top is bolted to the wood frame with 10 screws already installed, but it looks like one of those can be removed if you ever need or want to reupholster the upholstery. A stable bench should last a lifetime. The only reason I have four stars is because the stain is a little darker and doesn't appear to be coated with varnish or shellac. On the plus side, there was no chemical smell that I've experienced from other Chinese furniture. Someone asked about the color of the wood, gray or brown. With a fawn brown panel, the wood is brown with a greyish tint, depending on bright daylight or warm interior lighting. My third photo shows the part with the window at the top and the warmer light from the bulb on the leg.
