I bought these spade lugs to replace my 20 year old T&B spade lugs that went missing after I decided to put this harness together. The pins and sockets I used were cheap and came in a variety of sizes (22-14). They fit my existing wiring harness and I didn't have to buy 3 different sizes, male and female. With this crimping tool I was able to progressively crimp the terminals when using the lightest gauge. this. I would start my crimp with a larger die. The pin and socket set has received bad reviews from many due to the difficulty of making good crimps. You are not fancy. They're incredibly affordable. The range of inserts allows you to get the perfect crimp every time if used correctly. My tourniquet came out flawless and looked like it was factory made. Custom work is unpredictable as to what type of terminals you might need next, without spending the bulk of your budget on a tool you might need one day I took a chance and I believe it paid off handsomely. I believe with some care it will be able to crimp many other types of terminals not just the ones advertised. The overall quality of the instrument itself is in the same class as my old $100+ T&Bs in my opinion. I also believe that I will own them for the same time.
