This keyboard has a nice feel and the keys are clear and responsive. However, there are some design flaws that make it quite difficult to use. 1) The near edges have a poorly cut plastic protrusion that irritates your palms when typing while your hands are resting on the writing surface. (Of course, you'll have to raise your hands above the table, but remember this is an iPad and the "table" is often your knees or your pillow.) So if you're not careful, you'll practically get blisters, especially on your left Palm just below your little finger. . 2) There's a stupid emoji button in the bottom left corner. I rarely want to use emojis, and if I do, then only in the Messages app, where there's a handy on-screen emoji button. The text recognition line also has an emoji icon. The hardware button seems designed just to interrupt my workflow - I accidentally hit it with my palm (the one rubbed with Apple's plastic case) while reaching for T or 5. And that reduced the width of the modifier keys, so control, option, and command are tiny. Wider modifier keys would be much more useful than the emoji key. 3) Caps Lock backlight would be bright. Option and command are tiny. Wider modifier keys would be much more useful than the emoji key. 3) Caps Lock backlight would be bright. Option and command are tiny.
