Decent curling iron for loose waves

I would like to experiment a little more, but my first impression is a high-quality curling iron that heats up quickly. I haven't found any other 1 1/4" wands, so the size allows for looser waves and more volume than curls. Compared to several other curling irons I've tried, I've noticed that this one seems much hotter, at the same temperature setting or maybe transfer heat more efficiently?I have thick hair and used the 360 degree setting. My hair got HOT at this temperature and I only had to hold it on a stick for about 5 seconds. The next day the waves it created disappeared almost so I'm not sure the power will stay with him.The digital display is easy to read and has a small progress bar that shows when the iron is heating up and when it's ready to use.The cons so far are: For me are the buttons are in an awkward spot and they're easy to press with a wand.It also smells like burnt plastic when I turn it on and I'm n Not sure if it's because it's new or if it will be a permanent problem.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Not everything fits
