Terrible signal reports, do not buy

I have two Baofeng BF-F8HP PDAs. I connected a HYS CS Tactical SMA Female Dual Band VHF UHF 144/430MHz 31.5" Foldable Tactical Antenna (the antenna I'm considering) to one and a Nagoya NA-771 whip antenna to the other. Results : HYS CS SMA Female Dual Band VHF UHF 144/430MHz Foldable Tactical Antenna 31.5" Antenna has terrible signal reports. In fact, most stations on the 2M simplex could not even hear me. On the other hand, Nagoya received NA-771, which coincided with a identical handset, under the same propagation conditions, good reports from the same stations. To make sure there was no difference between the radios, I swapped the antennas and got the same result. Eventually I had both radios nearby, checked the frequency ( 2 meters) and could hear transmissions on Nagoya all the time but nothing at all on HYS.So.Do not buy this antenna.I am a liz Empowered Ham Radio Operator and won't share my Revain callsign but this is my review. *** Added to review on June 8, 2019 *** When I tried to return the item I found that I would have to pay postage as well. So it's not exactly a full refund. Do not buy.

Pros
  • Maximum power consumption - Watts: 20W (ham radio less than 20W); Gain: 3.2/5.2 dBi;
Cons
  • I won't say anything
