Problems are coming

I have a reliable steam iron and I like it. I bought it so that the small iron could be easily moved into my sewing area. There are many things that didn't work for me. I connected a large grounded wire to make sure it was long enough - no, it wasn't. It was plugged in for less than a minute and got very hot - too hot for plastics - no on/off switch - or temperature setting in seconds. You plug it in and it gets HOT. Surprisingly heavy for its size. I unplugged it and after an hour the tablet still felt noticeably warm. So not suitable for traveling if you are in a hurry. The red lint brush was broken. The little tab holding it in place was broken. The bag includes an iron but no string or a small jug you use to add water. The cord is thick three prong and too heavy to easily maneuver on small pieces of fabric - the instructions say not to plug it into an outlet that uses other large electrical appliances - plans to use it with my sewing machine. - the same plug. I see this as a potential fire hazard as it gets so hot. I have returned and will not recommend this to anyone. Back to finding a small iron that suits my needs. It's hard to believe that this device has passed safety standards. Don't let children get near it.
