I'm certainly not a networking pro and have very little electronics aptitude, but I'm above average with computers. We recently merged several townhouses into one large house and we needed a way to get a good internet signal in 6500 square feet router to the Ubiquiti Wi-Fi antennas (which are great btw). I taught myself how to join the ends of a CAT 6 cable (see I'm such an amateur, I don't even know what they're called) and with this cable I managed to create a great wire . Signal fi through the whole rather large house. While not a professional, I have relied on many professionals who have published reviews of the many, many different types of CAT6 cable available that led me to this particular cable. It's certainly not the cheapest, but it's not the most expensive either, and it's perfect for my purposes (as evidenced by a household full of Wi-Fi users who haven't had any complaints yet).
