I have had the printer for a few months now. This is the only printer I've been able to find that has both a front and rear tray, the latter making it easier to print on envelopes: most other printers I've had have all paper fed from one tray, so it is possible to remove it each time the envelope is to replace the letter-size paper. This printer also accepts a wider range of envelopes and paper sizes than other printers I've reviewed. The print quality is good. After a lot of installation work (see below) and complaints I've seen from other buyers, I'm happy with the printer. However, I also have some of the same complaints I've seen: for example, the tiny screen, which requires you to lean or sit down, is unreadable unless illuminated by an external source like a flashlight. The biggest problem was when trying to set it up to use Wi-Fi: after a couple of frustrating attempts, I gave up and wired it up to my router, making it available to all three of my computers. (The installation CD and included cable made this process easy.) I've since found that the Wi-Fi capabilities are buggy or not working on several Canon printer models, and that the company has done nothing to fix the problem remedy. In summary, I think the printer is very good, but due to the shortcomings mentioned above, I am giving this printer four stars instead of five.
