So far I have ordered 3 of these self heating mats for my rescue dog Poco who is 10lbs and over 10 years old. Over the past year she has developed "urinary incontinence”. Poco only pees in her bed, not on the floor, but that meant she washed her towels and blankets often, which drove me crazy until I discovered these rugs. Not only do the pet blankets keep them warm, they are EASY to wash in my machine. I remove the inner warming/reflective (and piss-proof!) padding, spray with a mild detergent and wipe dry. Then wash the fabric "cushion cover" on gentle cycle and tumble dry low, it will stay perfect even after many washes. It's easy to put the reflective lining back in place and now Poco has a clean bed! I have 1 large size (which will fully cover and protect her extra large 40" dog bed (not washable) and 2 smaller giraffe patterned ones that will cover her smaller bed (see photo) or sofa. I'm preparing to make a another to order for my outdoor cat shelter these pads made the job of keeping her bedding clean MUCH easier and quicker for me as the comforters and towels took much longer to wash and dry and didn't protect the bed itself from urine! Giraffe design is extra soft and she sheds easily when shaken outside.Poco loves to lay on any mat.I will use one in the car when she walks in the park etc.These pet mats are made of high quality material for a long time use. Very satisfied, highly recommended. Poko also 5 stars! ;0)
