So I got creative when I ordered this. If you look at the description of the item it says it is for your jeep or truck with a crossbar and you can mount it on the side of the crossbar and use the square LED lights to mount it. Well I didn't have a truck. or SUV or Jeep! I have a 2016 Honda Civic LX. I've searched all over the internet for a hood bracket. Don't get confused, my setup consists of two parts. Assembly of the "bracket" of the hood. and only "attachment of the hood". Well the first step is I installed a "hood mount" which was then attached to my hood and mount and then attached to the LED bar. NO PROBLEM! The 32-inch long LED strip was pushed too far back towards the windshield, causing them to hit the rod when the wipers were turned on. SO I needed a bracket to move the LED strip forward and not too high on the hood but flush. . When I came across this mount I just flipped it over and it fitted my setup perfectly. Why aren't there any brackets that could move the LED bar forward? Also, the legs that come with the LED panel don't always work. Another thing I did, what if you want to mount the LED bar on the bottom bumper? There are curves that you need to take into account to mount it on the bottom of the front bumper and this mount works perfectly !So the bottom line is, if you want something mounted nice and clean on my hood, so far this mount is the only thing I've been able to get working. Everyone, even the Honda dealer, was impressed with all the customizations I made to my car. You can see other pictures to see what I did
