I was very concerned about ordering shoes online but I searched and searched locally for good quality hiking shoes with velcro but to no avail. I ordered these based on the reviews. Good choice. I love her. The toe box is a little wider than expected and the heels are a little narrower than expected for a very snug yet secure fit. They look good enough to pass for dress shoes if no one is inspecting them too closely. I'm almost afraid of wearing too many of these. I don't want to wear them out. Update #1: I'm tempted to raise my rating to 5 stars. With everything I said about her before, I still agree. These are really good shoes for normal walking. Update #2: I've been wearing these shoes for quite some time and I just love them even more. The soles wear like irons, the upper is hard-wearing and the fit is comfortable even after many kilometers. These are my favorite shoes. I wear them hiking, casual trips, working in my hobby shop and even as shoes. I really like velcro - it's a lot easier than tying your laces when you get a little old and stiff. So I'm increasing my rating to 5 stars.
