Review on KEF Q350 Bookshelf Speakers (Pair by Trevor Blazis

Before I bought these KEFs, like many others, I was obsessed with the choice. I've read a million reviews. Millions of YouTube reviews viewed. I've reviewed all of the current bookshelf speakers that are being talked about this year. I have bought and listened to Triangle Bro 3, Klipsch RP 600M, Elac Unifi 2.0 and this KEF Q350. All of these speakers are highly respected. The Q350 wasn't released recently, but KEF's sound with Uni-Q drivers has been lauded for years. (The new KEF LS50 Meta is their current media favourite. I'd love to buy it, but it's literally double the price. And it's already quite expensive for my budget. 😊) After much critical listening, I've decided to keep it. Their accuracy and level of detail is simply better and more accurate than others. Your pictures are amazing. Plus they just sound nicer. Like the difference between a really good Yamaha piano and a Steinway. The sound is richer. Notes sound better. My second favorite was Elac Unfi 2.0. Also very cool. But it didn't have as good a separation as the Q350. KEFS also has a nice sound. That's why I use the term "warm". It's not like it's colored. It just sounds more real. (Like the difference a tube amp makes. Just more reality.) As many reviews have pointed out, these speakers sound wildly different depending on where you place them in the room. Over time I intend to try many more configurations to see where they work best in my given space. These speakers have a very strong voice centering. I wouldn't mind spreading it out a bit if I could. I've heard that I can change that a bit by changing the location. I use them with a 10" Elac subwoofer which complements the sound nicely below. I may try a different woofer in the future for faster and tighter bass. I use Qobuz and transfer high bitrate files whenever this happens is possible. The game definitely goes well beyond the usual streaming (Spotify. Learn what to expect from a given sound source. We'll see.) Up close with little convergence, these speakers sound like giant studio-quality headphones. The accuracy is mesmerizing. Like headphones without anything snagging your head. 😁 Oh and looks wise, they are very elegant. Unique. Digging these KEFs 👍🏻
