Review on ✨ Olay Dark Spot Corrector: Advanced Tone Perfecting Cream & Sun Spot Remover - 48g by Teri Cantu

I love this face cream so much I'm stocking up as it seems to be replaced with a 'whipped' version which is really VERY sloppy! What I don't like about it: Although the directions for use say to use day and night, I've found this cream works best when applied NIGHT ONLY. I use it in addition to all my Korean essences, serums and lotions for my face and neck. The cream has a smooth, velvety texture. The texture is quickly absorbed and leaves no greasy film on the skin. After a while my skin looks lighter in the morning. However, you must use it regularly. I have found that as a DAY CREAM it leaves a chalky white residue on the skin. Also, it takes a long time to fully massage in and I still see white streaks. When I smear sunscreen on it, it looks awful - very much like Casper The Friendly Ghost. I think it's less noticeable at night. What I like about this cream: The smell is pleasant. It spreads easily, absorbs quickly and works well when layered over emulsions and other serums you may be using. I never turn down this face cream at night. It has never broken me and my fickle troubled combination/oily skin is at its most temperamental. I tried a newer idea called "Whipped" and it's not a patch on the original Olay Luminous Creme - not even close! The price is affordable and beats most face creams I've ever used and like many women I've used A LOT at modest to sky high prices over the years. So only 4 stars because it should work equally well for day and night and it doesn't. Plus, it deserves its place in my pantheon of beauty. You can continue to formulate this version for a long time. Let's just say it's an excellent score of 4.5. Continued: January 5, 2019 This cream is TABLETS when worn under sunscreen. That's why I only use it at night.
