To be honest I was a bit hesitant when I first ordered it. I had never used an interchangeable ball system and was afraid that the trailer and ball would roll down the road in a different direction behind me. There are no such problems here. After towing a few loads with it, I had no problems. I lightly lube the shaft before use and had no trouble getting the ball out at the end of the stroke. It's all easy to take apart and store in a compartment under my truck's seat, so hopefully I won't have to worry about rusting. The biggest I've ever driven is a 32ft RV so I can't vouch for the heavy farm equipment towing capacity, but it works very well for what I use it for.
