Review on Washable Black Inkpad for Kids: Hero Arts Just for Kids by Brittany Archuleta

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The ink color is great and my daughter loves it but it is NOT washable

My daughter loves the ink but according to the packaging and product description the ink definitely WILL NOT wash off. We wiped her hands 3-4 times and although some ink came out, the stains were still very noticeable. I don't think my expectations are unrealistic. After washing my hands so many times in a row, I expect a product that claims to be washable to rinse well. Unfortunately, their hands remained pink for several days before the ink eventually faded, likely due to the extra handwashing and bathing they took nightly during those days. We also have a set of wooden stamps with Melissa and Doug and she puts this ink on her hands too, but when we wash our hands the ink comes out right away. This is probably why I felt compelled to correct this review to warn other parents. If we didn't have another ink set to compare to, I wouldn't know any better and would probably just say "okay". However, when I saw how quickly Melissa and Doug's ink came out on the first wash, I thought it might be possible. In any case, I think we'll stick with Melissa and Doug's products in the future despite the limited choice of ink colors. Doh!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
