Gen 1 ring lamp bugs seem to be fixed

Gen 1 lamp seemed to have battery cover issues but after 3 months it remained unchanged. Easy-to-use TTL metering on Canon DSLRs. Good for low light or images taken with a small aperture to darken the background. I think for an amateur photographer this is a great solution and good value for money.
