The cover is perfect for my ironing board. My mother always told me to always put a new ironing board cover on top of the old one to give the board extra padding to help with ironing. I loved how another customer noticed that the residue on the new lid got onto the iron and caused my iron to drag a bit. I also found that the residue made my clothes stick to the board when I first used it, and clothes didn't easily slide over the lid either. You must remove them from the surface to move the garment to a different position. I think it will smooth out after long time use. It will be annoying for a while.
