Review on 🥄 Olive Wood Mustard/Sugar/Salt Spoon, Naturally Med, 5-inch Length by William Groupp

I ordered two of these to stir coffee in a French press (wood isn't that conductive dissipates much heat than metal). One of them is perfect in every way. The color of the wood and the structure of the fibers are impressive, the quality of the wood is excellent, without defects, as well as an excellent shape and natural surface. Unfortunately, the second item had several flaws - ulcers, which were eliminated by some kind of filler. The color and grain are nice, but the filled spots make me wonder if that's plastic I don't want to use in my coffee. The spoons are not very long, but I knew that before I ordered them. A long (9 or 10 inches) and thin olive wood spoon would be perfect for french press coffee, but I haven't found one commercially available anywhere. The color of the olive wood fades a little after a few uses and the instructions state that the mineral oil restores the finish. But hey, it's an olive tree, so I use some olive oil from time to time.
