I got a size 2 for my almost 5 year old daughter (for reference she is 39 inches tall and weighs 32 pounds) and they were still too big. They just looked like normal baggy shorts. However, they are well made and the silver color is really shiny and beautiful. I bought them to wear under her Halloween costume and while they are not suitable for that we kept them anyway because they are cute, just like regular shorts.
