This review is dedicated to the active side of the pen. The regular nib side of the pen is great, but nothing exceptional. The pen comes with instructions on how to charge it (the instructions say a fully charged indicator is green, but is actually blue). But it doesn't really say anything about how to get it to work with your tablet. After checking out the Revain product page, I found that you can literally just plug it in and go. It charges very quickly and even comes with a small micro USB to USB cable. And I love the magnetic cap that covers the micro USB port on the handle! The cap also serves as a regular pen tip. The main reason I wanted this pen is because I draw digitally on my iPad Air 2. The iPad's screen couldn't seem to read the stylus. For a while I thought the pen wasn't working at all (although the blue power light was on). Then I tried to use the stylus on my Samsung Galaxy S7. It worked great. I didn't have to press at all to register the pen. I contacted Meko to ask about an issue with my iPad, but then I got it to work on my iPad by, you guessed it, turning the stylus off and on again. LolI immediately tried some digital line art. The pen is a bit slow (because the pen tip is NOT EXACTLY where the number line appears). But that's only a millimeter, if not less. My line art came out quite shaky with the pen, but I tend to attribute that to my inexperience with the pen. (For digital printing I have only used a Meko pen so far). The pen requires a steady hand as the tip is very thin. (I'm an accomplished artist so I know a lot about steady hands and clean lines when using graphite/charcoal pencils and ink sticks). Of course, an electronic stylus is not exactly the same as a regular ink pen. The constant "ticking" of the stylus across my iPad screen was pretty annoying, but I'm getting used to it. You have to accept the bad with the good. Overall, I'm looking forward to becoming more comfortable with an active stylus. I plan to give an update after I get used to using the stylus. After using it for a few days, I can say that it feels nice and solid, and while it still works with my iPad about 50% of the time, the problem must be with my tempered glass screen protector (since it works great). . with my Android phone). When the pen works, it's like a dream!
