Update May 2021: I have been using this little instrument for every bathroom since I bought it. Almost 4 years later it still works great! The battery has never been replaced. It's one of those baby products that I thought was overkill, bought by overly paranoid moms. I was determined to buy only baby essentials that were absolutely necessary. Until the day I put my month-old baby (who loves baths!) in a bathtub, sat him down and he immediately wide-faced and started crying. I knew something was wrong and called my husband to help me troubleshoot. He felt the water immediately realize it was too hot. I don't know why I didn't notice, but I prefer very hot shower and bath water, so maybe it didn't feel that hot to me? Conclusion - I felt terrible and ordered this little stingray the same day. It arrived before my son's next bath and I'm so glad I have it now. I use it in every bath and it gives me peace of mind that I won't hurt my little boy again. :)
