I know this is not intended for use on a kayak but my kids always want to pick up trash when we kayak and I hate putting dirty trash in my to lay boat. So I took that to buckle myself in the back so we can pick up trash. I can't put a tire in it, but most of the things we see are cans, bottles and plastic bags, all safely stored in the bag. And it's easy to empty.
