I received this justification in the mail today. I have to admit I bought them for myself rather than my son because I remember always enjoying playing with prisms as a kid. I also thought that one day these blocks would have significant educational value (developing a color vocabulary and a sense of light and dark). However, I am afraid that they will not live long enough for my son to be 18 months old. In my hands, the wood felt very light and the edges were still rough. I'm confused as to why I paid so much for this particular set. I actually feel pretty stupid about it.
