The remote and vibrator itself are fine and work well. However, the quality of the collar and how it attaches to it needs work. There are pieces of metal coming out of the device onto the pet's neck. They have rubber caps for them, but they seem largely unnecessary (a pet would still feel the vibration without them), and they wore off all the fur in a patch on our cat's neck after a day's use. It goes without saying that we no longer use it for that reason. The leather material that the collar is made of is also not very good. I would pay an extra $20 for this item to have a decent collar. There's plenty of room for design improvement, but like I said, the electronics are solid. I do not recommend this due to poor collar construction and protruding rivets.
