Weak latch and can only be used in drawer close/open direction

The latch mechanism does not apply enough pressure when installed in the drawer causing them to move. I wanted to use one above the drawer and one connected to the drawer cross divider to divide it into 3 compartments. Locks do not withstand impacts from dishes on partitions when opening and closing. May only work on one-sided dividers (i.e. in one direction of drawer movement) using lightweight clothing material.
