Savings on heating, cooling and air quality

I bought this lovely little heater a year ago in December 2020 out of sheer desperation. I have narcolepsy (a sleep disorder that makes it very difficult to wake up or stay awake) which gets severely aggravated by the cold. When it's below 70 degrees in my bedroom I literally can't wake up, not even enough to reach out and turn on the heat. It sucks. My roommates wouldn't let me turn on the heat in the house and I was afraid of losing my job because I was always late or sound asleep during my shift (and all the calls come from my luckily very friendly manager). I searched the internet for smart heaters and came across Atomi. was my only option. To be honest it cost about $90 a lot more than I wanted to pay for the heater but I was desperate. When I found "like new" at Revain with a small discount and 2 days first class shipping, I was sold. Execution. Although the larger version would probably warm my room better, I didn't have space (pun intended) for it in my bedroom and preferred the cute futuristic look of this model. I have never regretted my choice. The thing is almost perfect. It's slim and very well made, and I love that it's small and light enough to fit anywhere. That looks great. Doesn't look like heating at all. It's very easy to set up with the Atomi app and integrates seamlessly with my Google-powered smart home. All settings can be made either on the heater itself or in the Atomi app on your phone. In Atomi you can also easily create schedules and run sleep timers for 1-4 hours. Google Home/Assistant only turns the heating on/off and sets the temperature in eco mode, but that's all I ever needed. Integrating this heater into my Google Routines has been life-changing, and being able to control it with my voice is just incredibly satisfying. However, there is one problem to be aware of: in order to press the buttons on the oven, you have to put your hand in front of the oven and then on the hotplate. Although I tried my best not to, you can hear me say "Ow!" at the end of my video when I clicked the button. I seriously tried not to. The front of the device is tilted slightly upwards, so it's really difficult to avoid hot air with your hand. "But this is a SMART heater, why do I need knobs?" I thought to myself after reading another person's review before I bought it. So far I've found 2 reasons to be concerned about the buttons: 1. Internet/WLAN sometimes drops out. 2. Sometimes I take it to places where I can't connect it and my phone to the same Wi-Fi network. When I contracted COVID and suddenly had to spend two weeks in quarantine in a coworker's freezer, this wonderful little heater was a lifesaver and heated almost her entire room, but I was annoyed that I had to manually push the buttons and lost my mind hand injured. a little each time, and I realized that I was spoiled by his intellectual functions. The security features are also perfect. Of the many heaters I've used, this is the only one I've ever felt completely safe with. I like not having to worry about him starting a fire, flipping a switch, or causing trouble if one of my cats knocks him over. It will automatically turn off if knocked over and even notifies you in the app if it happens or if it shuts down unexpectedly such as when it crashes. B. in the event of a power failure. I also appreciate that the auto shut off doesn't kick in if simply moved, like some of my previous, much weaker heaters. The heat output is really good, especially for the size, but no wonder. The heater doesn't put much strain on the air coming out of it, so it gradually and very subtly warms up the room. It's probably perfect for a desk or office - you'll feel it right away if you're around - but it works great in a bedroom or even a small apartment. When I use it in my bedroom (depending on where I put it) I usually don't feel a big difference in temperature for the first few minutes it's on, but after 10-15 minutes I notice that the temperature in the room is no longer cold, and sometimes even too hot! It can really heat up the room, it just does it gradually and imperceptibly. Accommodation is an important factor. I think I instinctively put it on a dresser or table, but as I mentioned, the front of the stove slopes slightly, meaning the heat exits at an upward angle. When I first started using it, I put it on a dresser about 3 feet tall. At first I thought the heater was broken until I realized that the air ABOVE me on the ceiling was very hot! I've found that it's best to place it on the ground or on a surface 1-2 feet off the ground. It's so compact that luckily I can always easily find a place to put it. Placement is also important when using the ECO function which is great and everything I've ever used. The ECO function turns the heating on and off as needed to keep the room at the set temperature. It works great, better than any other heater I've had, except on the rare occasion when it's just placed in a bad spot where it has its own warmth. Turning the heater back and forth is very effective at distributing heat and can solve this problem, as can moving it. I actually only have one problem with this heater and if I read about it in many other reviews before buying it. I really didn't think it would bother me. But it is so. SOUND. I don't think my video properly captures how loud it is. I just don't know why he needs to beep in the first place, and then they decided to make the flashiest beeper of all! It will beep every time you change the temperature, turn on or off, change the setting, or turn off/on WiFi, whether you're doing it with the buttons, the Atomi app, the Google Assistant, or the Google Home app. . I usually try not to change any settings to avoid a very loud "Beep!" BIP! The only thing I would change about this device. Otherwise it's 10/10, life saver, 100% what I need, very charming and so well built I honestly think it will be decades before I have to buy a new heater again.
