Review on ๐Ÿ”๏ธ Cascade Mountain Tech Trekking Poles: Carbon Fiber Monopod Walking/Hiking Sticks with Accessories Mount and Adjustable Quick Locks - Enhanced Performance and Durability! by Robert Staten

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Strong but light sticks. All the extras make them very versatile.

These carbon fiber trekking poles are very strong, very light and very strong. Once the desired length is set and the clamps are tightened, they will remain at the set length. The clamps are tight enough to hold them in place even when you're putting all your weight on the bars. The combination of cork handrails and foam under the cork offers many options for holding and using poles. The carbide tip is best for hard surfaces or hiking on dry ground. During long walks on paved roads or paths, the walking spikes protect the ground and ensure a reliable hold. Softer rubber tips are good for short distances, but wear out quickly. Other tips are designed for soft or muddy ground or snow. The top of the connector unscrews to use the pole as a monopod with a standard camera thread. There are also two top mounts designed for cell phone storage. Finally, there are two V-mounts that can be used to carry a rifle or telephoto lens on the camera. The combination of Cascade and Mossy Oak in one product at this price was a pleasant surprise. My wife and I walked the 500 mile Camino de Santiago five years ago. I would feel very comfortable starting this long journey with these sticks. They are just as good or even better than the ones we've used that cost over $100. The weight of each of them, just over 8 ounces, is fantastic. On a long hike every gram counts and would be great to have. They come with a carry/storage case with an external zip pocket for accessories. The bag has a long external shoulder strap.
