I paid too much, don't make the same mistake, but it works.

As stated in the title, I overpaid in my mistake, I wanted 1/2 inch, 100 feet. I checked out their 3/8" version which was pretty cheap so I thought they would be reasonable to pay 1/2" $886.00 thought it would be fair until I got the same machine on ebay for $499 when i realized they were trying to cancel the next day but they have already shipped instead of a refund the seller gave me a 20% discount originally they offered 10% they refunded me about 170, $00, I still overpaid by $200. This machine is in no way comparable to the professional equipment you rent from Home Depot. I believe they rent 3/4" cable blocks. I couldn't find them at Revain at the time when the largest was 1/2". I have roots that go down my sewer line (4 inches) so I've rented a unit every few years. I had no problems with the rented units. This machine took a while to get used to the cord kinking easily and had trouble winding it up as it got stuck in the drum due to poor design. There is a gap between the cable winding point and the guide on the front of the drum. (inside the drum) causing it to get stuck so you need to keep an eye on it. I was expecting this to work just like the rental I'm used to but it works but you have to be patient and move slowly. Also, if you are going to walk more than 30-40 feet, make sure you have someone to hold the device with you as it will tend to walk. It's a heavy device, but once the cord is unplugged, things get a little lighter. At $800 it's not worth it, but if you buy it for $500 and are patient it might be worth it if you only need it on the main line every now and then. I'm sure it will work well on smaller drain lines, but I wouldn't recommend using it on a 4" or larger line if you intend to use it regularly. Much luck!
