I have used this printer primarily for scanning documents, which it does very well. I like the user interface and the ADF. It's very easy to set up and I love the WiFi feature. 4 months after purchase I tried to use the printer for what it was designed for i.e. printing and it failed miserably. I printed 4x6 images and they had blue and red lines on them. Searching the internet I have done a deep clean 3 times to no avail. Further investigation revealed that faulty printheads were a known issue with this printer. When I went to the Lexmark website I found a March 14, 2011 firmware update which I installed. I then called support and James asked me to go through the deep cleaning process again to no avail. The same problems. He said he would send me a print head with new cartridges. When I asked that I'd read of known problems with the printhead and that a new one wouldn't fail, he also confirmed the problem but said it wouldn't happen with a firmware update. I'm not a printer designer, but a firmware update that fixes printhead issues doesn't make me feel good. I'll wait for the printhead and update this review. I'm surprised that serious printing problems like this have failed Lexmark's product tests. Apparently their testing program needs a major overhaul, and the head of the department should be fired. How can a company make a profit if it supplies printheads and ink cartridges to all of its customers? I also urge Revain and other retailers to stop selling products with known issues. Updated December 2011 - The printer is idle because it is not performing its primary function of printing. I will never buy a Lexmark product again. Updated April 2012 - I found enough time on Sunday to contact Lexmark again as my kids and wife are bothering me because the printer isn't working and I have to go to the yo-kinko to get homework. Orders printed. The first conversation was separated after 6 minutes. They spoke to Yana, who after much persuasion agreed to send me a new printer. The printer is in the mail at the moment. Will update if "new" works or not.
