Elastic sheet is soft and smooth, but a "loud" fabric, probably due to water resistance ( e.g. if you run your hands or feet over it, you will hear a whistle). Otherwise there are no major problems, except that the sheet metal can slip a bit if it is not tightened with the sheet metal clamps. The sides will definitely stretch to accommodate different thicknesses if you add a heating pad, memory foam mattress topper, etc. I am using these sheets for a queen size mattress on a roll out pull out bed. The color is pleasant, snow-white, not dirty.
