The straps tend to dig into the leather at the edges no matter how I adjust them. In terms of adjustment, the toe strap is so long that when it needs to be tightened even a little, it extends past the edge of the sandal, which looks silly. I can try cutting and melting the edge of the strap to fix it. I find the surface of the sandal in contact with my foot irritating. Maybe a little wear or a touch of sandpaper would help? I will NOT use them for hiking. Do you know how you forget your shoes when they are really very comfortable? You will not forget them. On the other hand, they are waterproof.
