Unfortunately, this remote control has some features that you will not find in most non-original remote controls, so you will have to buy either an original or a very expensive universal remote control. With a wife and 4 grandchildren who visit me regularly, my remote control was not long in coming. Purchasing this remote did exactly what I hoped it would. As soon as this one arrived, another appeared. The easiest way to find a lost item is to buy a replacement. But now I have one in use and the other in a secret location, so I'll always have a remote control. If someone loses the remote they can't use the backup, it's mine and only mine so it won't be lost. I think this might become my new routine when I buy a new TV.
