I had an issue where my Hard Top Covertable creaked when the cover was up. This was most likely due to the top end deflecting as the car went over bumps and the rubber seal rubbed against another rubber seal on the road. I coated the rubber with Ruglyde Lubricant and the problem was solved. I also used it to plug the plastic plug on my zero turn mower's smoke return hose back into the rubber fitting on the gas tank. This hose mount was a design issue as the hose could be pulled on branches of bushes. The last time I tried to install it without lube, I broke the plastic plug and spent over $50 servicing it. I remembered Ruglid's name from my childhood. My dad had an old '55 Hudson that squeaked with what dad called "rubber dampers." The car could be heard approaching a block away. He bought a can of Raglida and that was the end of the flashy Hudson. I have been looking for this product in car dealerships for years and have not been able to find it. Leave it on amazon.com to sell it. A gallon of this stuff will probably last a lot longer than me. I will pass it on to my son. Bob Matthews
