These pads seem to be quite durable. They don't smell, which I wouldn't care for anyway, but a lot of people complain about the smell from their wheel pads. They keep my van safe on a slight slope. The only downside is that the front of the pads are raised so you can't slide them behind the fixed wheel. You have to actually ride them to get the most engagement between the shoes and the wheel. But still a good choke for the price.
