My job requires me to take my shoes off a lot, so slip-ons work great. But all the other slip-ons I've had in the past have not been good for running more than a block or two. The sole was wrong. These are completely different, they have a great sole to walk on. I probably wouldn't go more than three miles in it, but that's because the slip-ons don't give you the same solid control in the upper of the shoe, but they do a very good job—they fit pretty snugly in the top, but don't too tight. I should also mention the arch support. They have the same arch support as the later Moab hiking boots and I like that, although it took a while to get used to when they were changed a few years ago. I figured the design change should allow the arch support to fit a wider range of arches, but it still works very well, at least for me with moderately high arches.
