Faulty Cable: Cables and Accessories

Cable Build Quality: Very impressed with the braided cable - it looks good, bends well, but still feels solid. Works great for cable management on the monitor arm. Setup Used: The monitor is a 32" LG 4k resolution display that I've been using for two years now. I recently did a new build and used an AMD Sapphire Nitro 6800 XT graphics card with the latest drivers and using a Installed my existing non-braided DisplayPort cable. After several months of flawless service, I bought this cable to gain additional access to a new monitor arm. That's when the problems started. Problems: Every time I tried this new cable, I had problems "To turn on the second monitor. On first boot the screen is split and most colors are grayscale. There was also a lot of digital noise and discontinuities that seemed jumbled and almost like the old electronic noise on TVs. I then had problems with my secondary NVME where the system sometimes didn't recognize them on startup After some googling, many people actually have h found that your display cable is causing a short. I stopped using this cable and since then all my issues have been resolved leading to the conclusion that this DisplayPort cable was the culprit. Rating: I would give it two stars based on build quality and the fact that it supports 10bit 4k 60hz if it actually worked. Obviously many reviewers are very happy with this cable and I have a lot of experience with Cable Matters. This cable just seems unreliable and unfortunately it went through the return window leaving me stuck with an unusable cable and a scant $16.
