I didn't care at first about the commemorative coin that was supposed to be included. I was only interested in the train itself for my nephew. However, the product must be new and while the toy itself appears intact and in its original packaging (and it is a nice little motor indeed), the cardboard backing of this packaging is warped and comes loose at the very end. Corners are slightly torn along some other edges and have unsightly discoloration/glue residue where the coin used to be. I'm now also a bit annoyed that the coin isn't there, simply because at first glance it's clear that something SHOULD have been there and was instead removed without much care. I'm honestly debating whether to return the train or just take it out of the box and pack it separately (which would be sad but we're approaching Christmas and my nephew is young enough that the box, or lack thereof, might not matter to him) . It looks good on the outside so could probably be used on its own/gifted but I won't know until I take it out and the handling of the packaging doesn't inspire much confidence in the seller. I would probably recommend buying the same product elsewhere just in case.
