Three weeks and the locking mechanism that some people had trouble with works well. When used by multiple people, it opens and closes multiple times a day. I hope it stays that way, because I want to get another one for my second bathroom. It's the perfect shape and size for the space next to the dresser. It's lightweight yet durable and the bag storage box is a plus that comes in very handy. A small downside is that the garbage bags that come with them get caught on the last inch of the roll and I have to tear them off carefully not to tear a hole in the bottom of the bag. You can buy other same size drawstring bags online, and you may be able to get flavored bags. It's better than an open trash can in terms of odor control, but it's not an odor control vault if you intend to use it for adult diapers or underwear. I spray it with 70% alcohol to sanitize between uses and don't notice any discoloration or damage to the product. In general I am satisfied.
