I wanted to clear up some confusion as to what is included. Kit includes: (1) 9557PB Angle Grinder (1) Side Handle (1) Type 27 Guard (1) Type 1 Guard (5) Makita Steel/Stainless Steel Grinding Wheels (1) Makita Diamond Bladeplus Instruction Manual and Carrying Case. Aluminum with galvanized fittings and locks. They should rust in no time. I spray nuts and bolts on the jack stands and other zinc hardware to keep them from rusting, but I don't want to grease those latchesโI'll never be able to open the case. Okay - better than a box. The case has eggcrate foam on the lid and is a stiffer rubberized foam with cutouts for tools and individual cutouts for each rim. Great protection for fragile wheels. Another thing I like is that the lid doesn't open all the way but slightly overrides vertical and stops to prevent damaging the lid after a thousand sand times when I opened the lid and it fell to the ground. This is my first Makita (M*lwaukee and R*dgid fan here). It's a great value and works great. He ate a Br*nks R70 disc lock without blinking. Its small size allowed me to maneuver behind a fancy-shaped lock (fastened with a deadbolt) pressed against a corner and melt the lock with one hand. I have a 7 inch R*dg*d angle grinder that has way more power and lethality but just couldn't get the job done due to its size. Another clue to having the right tool for the job. In this case, less is better. I'll admit it doesn't have the power of the big boys, but I don't cut through the foundation or the 2 inch slab. I also don't melt extension cords or toggle switches every few minutes. The included abrasive discs can handle both mild steel and stainless steel and hold up much better than Horrible Freight discs. The discs included in the kit must be precisely balanced as the tool runs very smoothly with them. The brand new grinder and small diameter probably have something to do with it. Paddle switch operation (operator on site) with latch, and it can be latched with a button near the base of the paddle. Nice feature. All in all, this coffee grinder is definitely another great addition to my toolbox and I wish I had it sooner. Maybe I'll buy another one. This is a great tool and I expect nothing but the best from an industry leader in tooling. Face shield if you like your eyesight. it alone will not cut it. wear both With gloves and long sleeves.
