This set of two chairs is a good economical alternative to other children's brands with more expensive wooden chairs. They are easy to assemble and durable. The dark espresso colored coating was not wrinkled or scratched in transit. The seat is much larger than other children's chairs we've had, at about 14" x 14", making it easier for an adult to sit. The seat height is 12 inches off the floor, which fits my 6 year old nicely (she is in the photos accompanying this review; she is 44 inches tall and weighs 52 pounds). However, the chairs are missing some details, such as B. an extra bar on the back of the chair; it's just an open hole that makes #1 less comfortable; and #2 means my kids rotate their bodies, cross their legs over their backs, and try to turn them over. Also, there is an odd gap between the seat base and the chair structure (see photo). These aren't huge bargains, but when compared to other car seat brands like B. Spaces or Melissa & Doug, they definitely fall behind in terms of style and comfort. But for this price range for solid wood chairs they are ok.
