I've used this on a few trips to the shooting range and it has worked very well. As we have a couple of Blackhawk pouches for rifle cartridges, tools, spotting scopes etc. we use these for the revolver and revolver cartridges. It holds its shape, doesn't fall off easily, and the (no name) zippers work well and feel solid. Since zippers are usually the first to fail, I often look for YKK, but that wasn't an option with the bags I tested. Separate compartments keep your pistols from scratching each other (if you have two), and the large exterior pocket is handy for ammo. The small outside pocket is good for range map, earplugs and more. You can skip the shoulder strap option (which Blackhawk bags have) or not.
