I've been looking for a good star projector for a long time and I'm not entirely satisfied with it, but it's good. The remote oddly started turning on another light strip in my room, but I unplugged and plugged the projector back in and held the remote close to it and it started working for the projector. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to dim the laser dots used for stars, although there's a button for that. The stars are also light green, which is a little disappointing as I was hoping for realistic white stars. I was also hoping to be able to set custom colors to fade out rather than having a preset cycle they go through if you wanted some sort of fade out. It's good that the LED can be dimmed, but it's a shame that the light doesn't mix well. You can use blue and red light and get a blue and red blanket instead of something nice and purple. Finally, I mostly hold it against a clear blue background with a slow wave and constant green "stars". It's still a nice accent for the room, but not exactly a Milky Way or realism.
