The name says it all. I bought this to make a charging station higher on the wall where I hang my VR headset. USB dongles don't even pass power to the other side of the wall, let alone a reversed cable. I connected my external hard drive (powered) to the Keystone on one side and a short USB cable on the other. My computer did not recognize the hard drive. The only thing I managed to get to work is a flash drive. They can be used to extend keyboard/mouse or flash drives, otherwise they are useless for transferring power or data from powered drives.
