cables are cables in general, but not with USB-C. The cable is braided and comes with an integrated Velcro strap, which is a nice touch. It's also tough, which is unexpected but useful. This cable does more (for less!) than Apple and OMC options. The Apple USB-C cable (which is an incredible premium for the power adapter) can only transfer data at USB-2 speeds. Most USB-C cables I've tried before, even those from "big" brands like OMC, are limited to 3A or 60W. This one cable does both. I tested the transfer speed with an external USB 3 certified SSD and got around 600MB/s, which is the listed transfer speed for the drive. It could do more but I can't tell. This is exactly what I was looking for. In other words, this cable deserves a review. :-)
