Would be a great cable if it worked

Macbook 2017. The shorter USB-C cable worked great with the Mac and monitor. It wasn't enough for a desktop install, so I went with that one. This cable would sometimes charge my Mac and power the monitor (43 inch ultra wide Samsung). But only if I put them in the right order. What this cable cannot do at all is video transmission. My LG phone with USB-C transmits video perfectly with this cable. , the cable worked with my LG but not my Macbook Pro. It looks like the quality of the cable is up…

Data transfer speed and charging as expected

I was only able to test the cable in my limited use case, so bear that in mind. Compared to previous experience with certified 1m cables, this cable transfers data at the speeds I've found from USB 3.x Gen 2 am used to. It has the same latencies I expected. When connected to a Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 USB-C battery on my Galaxy Note 10+, it charges as fast as that battery can deliver power in Quick Charge mode. The beginning and end of my hopes and expectations for the 6ft 10Gb/s USB C Cable…

Great Value Cable

I am currently using a different cable (which I paid about $30 for) to connect my MacBook Pro to the dock and bought this cable to have on hand as a spare . . While of course I can't comment on the durability of this cable, it appears to be well made and performs as expected in terms of performance and data. If I had bought this cable first, I wouldn't have bought one for $30, I would have just bought another one of these. The thickness of the cable isn't that bad either. Based on what was…

Unused/Permanently Disconnected

I have a b450 pro MB with a Samsung Note10+ and I keep disconnecting, especially when transferring large files. Even a small file is smaller than GB. The cable itself is great! Build quality is also amazing, but the constant connection issue renders it unusable.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

  • I am concerned

A part that can do it all: power (100W) and speed (5 Gbps minimum)

cables are cables in general, but not with USB-C. The cable is braided and comes with an integrated Velcro strap, which is a nice touch. It's also tough, which is unexpected but useful. This cable does more (for less!) than Apple and OMC options. The Apple USB-C cable (which is an incredible premium for the power adapter) can only transfer data at USB-2 speeds. Most USB-C cables I've tried before, even those from "big" brands like OMC, are limited to 3A or 60W. This one cable does both. I…

Excellent quality - high line loss

Most 6ft USB-C 3.1 cables are almost $30. So when I saw this cable I was skeptical about its presentation. I ran the speed tests shown in this review using a known good 1.5 foot cable and this 6 foot cable. The speeds are almost the same for the longer cable! The only real difference I see is that my charging current is about 20%-30% less with a 6ft cable than with a 1.5ft cable. I attribute this to the length and cross section of the cable. It still charges my phone well and at a fraction of…

Suitable for fully charging Note 10+.

I used a USB-C power meter to compare the power delivered through this cable to the included Samsung Note 10+ cable. This cable matches the performance of the included Samsung cable (approx. 24W). The E-Marker chip makes it possible. A minor complaint (like some other reviewers) is that the cable is a bit stiff. However, this makes the cable strong. The connector snaps into my charger and phone with the right amount of force.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Doesn't charge or display 4K video at the same time

I have an HP Z43 monitor and this cable only displays 4K and passes USB 2.0 devices through it but does not charge the laptop. The XPS 13 charges with almost anything, and the monitor showed an "uncertified cable" warning, so I tried other cables.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Minor issues

Delivers goods - but be careful, this is not a lightweight.

Let me get one thing straight first, this cable is 100% as advertised. This is a full speed, full performance USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 cable. Capable of delivering 100W of power and 10Gbps data rates all day long, it feels very solid and well built. It also easily connects to all USB-C devices (USB-C female on both ends). So, in terms of functionality, it delivers goods and then some. It's also good looking, matches the black theme of many cables/chargers (usually everything in that range is black or…

6 Star Cables and Connections Cables

I have to say I don't leave much feedback on cables. In fact, I don't think I've ever done that. I needed a long USB-C cable (both ends) that could a) stream 4K video from my Macbook Pro to my Dell monitor (which has a USB-C input along with Displayport and HDMI) and b) Dell this allowed - since it has USB-C functionality - to power my Macbook Pro through the specified cable. I thought the search would take two minutes. It lasted two hours and informed me that not only are there very few cables
