I have to say I don't leave much feedback on cables. In fact, I don't think I've ever done that. I needed a long USB-C cable (both ends) that could a) stream 4K video from my Macbook Pro to my Dell monitor (which has a USB-C input along with Displayport and HDMI) and b) Dell this allowed - since it has USB-C functionality - to power my Macbook Pro through the specified cable. I thought the search would take two minutes. It lasted two hours and informed me that not only are there very few cables that do this (at least based on many reviews), but that length is a huge problem. 2 meters - 6.6 feet like this CBUS cable is the longest USB-C to USB-C cable I've found on the internet that can do both the mentioned functions (this cable can also transfer data with USB 2.0 transfer speeds - 480 Mbit/s - although this is not critical for me). I don't know if it's scientifically impossible to make a cable that's an inch longer than 2 meters with these characteristics, or if it's prohibitively expensive, but I found it quite surprising. With all these limitations and taking into account the characteristics of the cable. very affordable price, I doubted it would do everything. It does it all, does it well (no issues so far), is very solidly built and looks great when loaded. I've read that some people get mad because there's a company name on the ends of the cable (I don't find that odd). Well, it's USB-C - flip it over if you don't want it showing (the opposite side is blank). It was exactly what I needed and I let my monitor power my MBP (quite impressive what these cables can do now), it saved me a precious port out of my 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports - and I needed exactly one more. Primarily because none of the "USB-C hubs" sold look like it - I've yet to see one with more than one USB-C port, which is downright odd, but not another technological limitation I felt. . spend hours researching. In the end, 2.10 meters was enough to reach the monitor without too much space - wow. I don't normally review cables, but when I do I give them 6 stars out of 5. . great job CBUS.
