Not quite plug and play, has wiring

I bought this because I clearly needed a remote start for my 2008 Dodge Avenger. I was looking for a $200 minimum if I bought it from one of my local car stereo/security stores, so $75 looked really good. After watching a lot of youtube videos and reading online manuals I connected the tee to the immobilizer which is a real pain in the neck for the Avenger. With all these cables I was skeptical that it was just plug and play by simply plugging in a T-harness and I was right. All the videos I've watched didn't mention the wiring. The instructions state that to program you have to press the program button on the box until it glows blue. Then put all your plugs in, turn on the ignition and the light should start flashing, then remove the key, then press the lock button on the remote and it's programmed. I did, and my blue light stayed constant and unresponsive. So after a few tries I almost gave up. I went away for a few hours and returned to him. There was something I was missing. After looking at 6 or 7 different connection schemes online on the Fortin website, which wasn't my area of expertise, I settled on option C (options A through F or G), which is standalone with no data connection. So to make the long story even longer, I had to connect the yellow wire from the T-harness to the yellow wire from the 20-pin connector, and then the purple wire from the T-harness to the green/red wire from the 20-pin connector. Interconnects. and BAMM! I pressed the program button on the box to blue, plugged in all the plugs, turned on the ignition and this damn blue light started blinking! He pulled the key out of the ignition, pushed the lock button and it was programmed! and it worked! I pressed the lock button on the key fob 3 times and the car started and everything worked as it should! So the moral of the story is that there are a few wires that need to be connected to make everything work. I hope my disappointment story helps someone.
