We bought two identical Kohler toilets for the home over a year apart. We had issues with the flush seal from the start at first because it had a sticky rubber seat that stuck to the drain making it difficult to flush, and because it broke it leaked a lot. Kohler denied without help and they had no instructions or videos available on how to forge it and replace the seal. The second toilet had a better seal but was also red and rubbery and leaked from time to time. This new YELLOW gasket which is made out of something like silicone rubber fixes all the problems and now there are some videos online on how to disassemble the flush mechanism making replacement relatively easy.
