On cardboard: Manufactured for Strawfield. Who? My cat is used to Purina One dry food and eats it well. She came to our home with feline herpes and a secondary severe bacterial infection of the upper respiratory tract and eyes. After antibiotic treatment, the doctor prescribed chewable L-lysine 500 mg per tablet. The tablets were easily broken into small pieces and placed on purine in small pieces. She loved them and ate them first. After running out of prescription lysine, I bought this jar. Made in the USA, rumored to have a seal of approval, 200 servings and a reasonable price seemed like an easy choice. Unfortunately, she immediately lost her appetite. Instead of getting used to the new taste, she ate less and less. Today for breakfast she ate very little "tainted" food with this drug and refused to touch the food until the end of the day. This made me so desperate that, unable to ask her, I decided to be a guinea pig. MY GOD! ! ! It was terrible. Salty and with a terrible aftertaste that is difficult to describe. After 4 hours this aftertaste did not go away. I hope I don't get sick tomorrow. Poor cat, she had to swallow a full scoop every day. I only took about 1/4 gram (her miniature spoon). So, after making their new L-lysine-free meal, tossing the jar in the trash, and flashing my still-awful aftertaste with a bottle of Heineken, I sat down to write this review. A lot of the positive reviews said I was unlucky and in the minority but because I bought this jar way before I opened it for the first time the warranty expired a week ago.
